About ClassroomTimers

ClassroomTimers is a free set of browser-based timing tools built for teaching, presenting, and focused learning.

Who we are

We are a small independent team focused on practical classroom productivity tools. We believe simple, well-designed timers and clocks can make everyday teaching clearer without requiring accounts, installs, or complicated setup.

Our story

ClassroomTimers started with a straightforward need: teachers often want a large, reliable countdown on a projector or spare screen within seconds—without fighting ads, tiny digits, or app downloads.

From that classroom timer core we added a world clock for cross-time-zone classes, flip and digital clocks for shared time displays, and a stopwatch for drills and practice—keeping the same calm, readable visual language across tools.

Key features

  • Classroom Timer: large countdown presets, clear finish warning, and projector-friendly display
  • Fullscreen mode: hide chrome so time stays dominant on classroom screens and TVs
  • Keep screen awake: optional wake lock for long lessons and always-on displays
  • World Clock: compare cities with map context, offsets, and day-night cues
  • Flip Clock & Digital Clock: styles, backgrounds, seconds, and date options for desks and boards
  • Stopwatch: lap timing with adjustable precision for drills and study tracking
  • No account required: preferences stay in your browser; classroom labels are not uploaded
  • Works on desktop, tablet, and phone with the same core tools

Our tools

  • Classroom Timer — free online countdown for lessons, activities, and exams
  • World Clock — fullscreen multi-city times with a live day-night map
  • Flip Clock — mechanical-style flip display for shared screens
  • Digital Clock — high-contrast digital time with styles and backgrounds
  • Stopwatch — online stopwatch with laps for classroom and study use

Future plans

We plan to keep expanding ClassroomTimers for real classrooms. Upcoming directions include:

  • More background options for clocks and timer stages
  • Dynamic backgrounds that stay calm enough for teaching screens
  • More languages beyond English and Simplified Chinese
  • Classroom whiteboard tools that work alongside timers and clocks
  • Other teaching workflows shaped by teacher feedback

If a feature would help your classroom, we want to hear it. Feedback shapes what we build next.
